New term starts January 16th 2023
I have been practising yoga for more than 25 years and qualified as a yoga teacher in 2000. I trained in the Iyengar approach accredited by the British Wheel recognised by the British Sports Council. I have studied with teachers in India, USA, Spain & in the UK.
I place emphasis on alignment in postures and on breathing which can help to create a sense of balance and calm.
A typical class will start with some gentle warming poses often lying down or kneeling. As our bodies warm and loosen we do standing poses, seated poses, twists and backbends. We finish with breathwork & relaxation.
All poses can be modified to suit all levels. Please let me know privately at the beginning of the class if you have any health issues. You are the expert on your own body & it is important that you keep listening to it, as you work within your own comfortable limits.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and a blanket. I have spare mats if required.
